Anamika Mukherjee, a woman in her early 20’s, is a smart corporate lady and a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan. She is the hopeless romantic who is out there to find her perfect match. And her benchmark? SRK obviously! She believes in the perfect romance, some one who would come a sweep her off her feet. Someone who would treat her like a princess, shower her with love and flowers, sing songs for her and finally go down on his knees to propose in a complete filmy way. Just like SRK.
Unfortunately, in her quest to find her perfect match, she meets Deep.
Deep is everything that Anamika is not. Does not believe in romance, most definitely not in those filmy fairy tale romance. He doesn’t have a girlfriend and doesn’t want to be in a relationship either. What he does well is that he observes people and gives the correct judgement. He helps Anamika to understand how boys/men think and helps her in her quest to find the right guy for her.
In the whole process, Anamika falls in love with Deep and expresses her feelings for him. However, Deep rejects her outright and tells her that he sees her as a friend and nothing else.
Heartbroken, Anamika leaves. This whole situation brings Deep face to face with his own childhood issues of abandonment. He misses Ana daily and finally realises that he too is in love with her.
The only way that he could think of to bring Anamika back is to succumbing to the ‘fairy tale romance’. He goes down on his knees and proposes with flowers and chocolates… recites her favourite SRK line.
“You don’t need to be perfect, you just need to be perfect for me!”
